Walking around one night this year, I was completely overwhelmed by the huge scale of human creativity and energy that goes into Burningman - from art pieces, camps, art cars, dance camps, people's fashion and performances...the whole lot of it on every single road throughout the city. More importantly, this is among a pretty diverse group of people from hippies to yuppies, geeks to the uber cool, physically gorgeous to mundane looking folks, and across a pretty wide swatch of economic realities as well. Burningman is definitely not easy and is not for squeamish pussies - there's always some major physical or mental challenges every year. Yet, many of us still come back because the pay off can be huge - a rejuvenating bath in the good vibes of humanity. I'm completely humbled to be part of this tradition and ritual and I take photos mostly of all the amazing people that make this thing go - hope you enjoy them. <<<Go back>>> |
